Hash Verification
🔐 Content Hash (SHA-256)
Each service record generates a unique cryptographic hash - a digital fingerprint that proves the data hasn't been altered. If even one character changes, the hash becomes completely different, making tampering immediately detectable.
🕒 Timestamp Token
The hash is sent to a trusted timestamp authority (like freeTSA.org) which creates an immutable timestamp token. This proves exactly when the record was created and cannot be backdated or forged.
✅ Verification Process
The system recalculates the hash from the current record data and compares it to the stored hash. If they match, the record is authentic and unaltered. The stored hash and calculated hash are displayed side-by-side for transparency.
Verify Service Records
Anyone can verify a service record to ensure it hasn't been tampered with:
- ✓Enter the service record ID on the verification page
- ✓System recalculates the hash from current data
- ✓Compares stored hash vs. calculated hash
- ✓Verifies timestamp token with timestamp authority
- ✓Displays complete verification results
